Chapter 1
Chapter 1 of 10
Welcome to User Sage
What the product is, and what you will actually do in your first half hour.
User Sage is a user research and usability testing platform. You plan a study, form a hypothesis with simulated people, then confirm with real participants when the decision matters. Briefs, responses, recordings, and findings stay in one project so a decision and the evidence behind it do not drift apart.
Every result is labeled by source. AI Panel means simulated people. Your Panel means people you recruit. GenPop Panel means screened people sourced for you. Those paths never blend into one average.

Why the product is shaped this way
Teams are rarely short on ideas. They are short on a cheap way to see which ideas fall over before real users show up, and a clear way to confirm the ones that still matter. User Sage is built around that sequence: form a hypothesis with the Sage Engine, then go and see for yourself with real people. When it fits, AI gives you the hypothesis, and findings take real people.
That is go and see for yourself, in product form. You look first with simulated people, and you trust the ship decision only after real ones.
Sign up anytime
You can sign up and start free any time. There is no waitlist. You may still hit a rough edge while the product is being built. There is a Feedback button in the dashboard, or you can write hello@usersage.com. A real person reads it.
What this guide will not do
It will not compare tools or turn into a methods encyclopedia. Chapter 10 is a short chooser so you pick the next method without reading a textbook.
