Then go and see

Confirm the hypothesis with real people. Your Panel and GenPop on the same study, always in separate columns.

Go and see for yourself. After AI Panel gives you a hypothesis, real participants are the evidence. User Sage keeps those paths labeled so a slide cannot quietly merge them.

Your Panel

Your Panel is people you recruit: customers, your list, your community, a reusable Audience. Collecting and viewing Your Panel responses is always free of AI credits on every plan. Free caps active studies and responses per study (3 active studies and 30 responses per study on Free). Pro raises that to unlimited active studies and up to 1,000 responses per study.

An Audience is a named roster you can recruit from across studies instead of pasting a fresh invite list every time. People can join through a public opt‑in page, request access, or stay invite‑only, depending on how you set visibility. Taking a study never requires a participant account. Saving responses into an account afterward is optional.

Share the study link with the people you mean to hear from. Track incentives if you promised them.

GenPop Panel

GenPop Panel, powered by Prolific, is a managed pool of real, screened participants recruited for you by User Sage. It draws from a separate prepaid balance in your GenPop wallet, not your AI credits. Confirm cost before you launch GenPop recruiting. Use it when you need real people you do not already have, and you are ready to spend GenPop wallet funds.

Whenever you recruit, pick the source deliberately: Your Panel (your people, no AI credits), GenPop (your GenPop wallet), or an open link you control. Do not default to GenPop silently.

Screening and quotas

Every Your Panel link comes with two choices. An Open link lets anyone who has it respond, and the same person can respond more than once. Invite only accepts the emails you add and one response from each, which suits a customer list or a beta group you already know.

To screen before any test, add a Survey step at the front of the study with your screening question, and mark any answer that rules someone out as Ends survey. Whoever picks it leaves right there, and results count them as screened out, not as completes.

Then set Stop collecting. Keep Until I close it, or choose After a set number so the link closes itself once that many people respond. Screened‑out people count toward that number, so allow for them: a target of 50 with 20 screen‑outs closes at 30 completes. Your plan’s per‑study limit still applies.

Same study, separate columns

Run real people on the same study you already tested with AI Panel when you want a clean compare. Each panel gets its own Pulse gauge and its own column in Findings. Pulse on Your Panel and GenPop looks at fill and effort signals once enough people have responded. It still does not declare truth.

Never blend. If you need a variation of the tasks, use Clone study instead of editing a live study that already has real responses in flight.

Optional AI summary of real answers

You can ask for an AI summary of Your Panel responses. That assist costs 1 credit, runs without names or emails, and does not train on your participants’ data. Individual responses remain available. The summary sits beside them, not instead of them.

What “enough” looks like on day one

You do not need GenPop on day one. A handful of Your Panel responses from people who actually use the product often teaches more than a large cold sample. Aim the real pass at the questions the AI Panel left open: the stall, the misclick, the sentence nobody parsed.

If live conversation can wait, skip to Findings and sharing.
