Talk to users live, with your team in the room.
Moderated Sessions are live interviews and moderated usability tests run inside User Sage. Share a booking link, run the session while your team watches from the Observation Lounge, and keep the recording, the transcript, and the participant's study answers together afterward.
Before, during, after
Set up the session
Pick the host and set their hours, and User Sage creates a booking link for the session. If you want the participant to work through tasks during the call, attach a study you already created as the session's guide.

Participants book themselves
They pick a time on your link, and confirmations and reminders are sent for you. The booking page states the recording consent before anyone books, so nobody is surprised on the call.

Run it live, then review the record
Your team watches from the Observation Lounge and sends you questions as you go. Afterward, the recording, the transcript, and the study answers sit on the session page, along with a record of the participant incentive and whether it has been paid.

What you get
A booking page carrying your availability, with the recording consent stated up front.
A live room your team can watch without joining the call or being seen by the participant.
The recording and transcript filed with the session. Recordings are deleted after 12 months; the transcript stays with the research.
A record of each participant incentive and whether it has been paid, kept in the same place as the session.
A live session is a conversation, and no AI holds it for you.
You moderate. The platform takes the parts around the conversation off your plate: the scheduling, the reminders, the recording, and the filing. Afterward you work from the transcript rather than your memory of the call, and anything the AI drafts from that transcript sits next to it, labeled by source.
Questions about moderated sessions.
Who can watch a session?
Anyone with the session's observer link can watch from the Observation Lounge. Observers are not on the call and the participant does not see them. They can send the moderator questions during the session, which is usually a better use of a stakeholder's hour than a summary deck afterward.
What do participants see before they book?
Your available times, what the session is about, and the recording consent: the session is recorded, the recording is kept for 12 months and then deleted, and they can ask the host to delete the recording and transcript at any time. They see all of it before they pick a time.
How are incentives handled?
The session lists what each participant was offered and whether they have been paid, so no one is paid twice and no one is missed. If your workspace has Tremendous connected, you send a Tremendous reward from the same place. If not, you pay the participant your usual way and mark it as paid on the session.
